Inclement Weather Policy
Inclement Weather Delays and Closings: If Montgomery County Public Schools (MCPS) open two hours late, CLC will cancel morning classes; the Orioles Extended Day and Eagles classes will begin two hours late and children will be asked to eat lunch at home. All children scheduled for Lunch Bunch that day should arrive at 11AM for play and learning; they will be asked to eat lunch at home.
If MCPS closes class one hour early, CLC will hold afternoon classes but will close one hour early. If we know in advance that county schools will close more than one hour early, we will cancel afternoon classes. If an early closing is announced after our afternoon classes have begun, we will initiate a telephone tree to notify parents.
Most radio and television stations in the area announce school closings or delays before 6:00am.
