CREATIVE LEARNING CENTER   

The 3 year class provides a stimulating environment for learning, creativity and self expression through a hands on learning approach. The children are exposed to math and science concepts, pre-reading skills, art, literature, pre-handwriting and critical thinking activities. 

 

The morning begins with a with a warm and friendly greeting and a period of free-play. During free-play students are able to interact, problem solve, develop self-confidence and build strong peer relationships through positive teacher guidance and encouragement. 

 

Teachers incorporate a thematic curriculum approach to learning during “Circle Time” through the use of songs, movement, fingerplays, learning units and stories that are related to our monthly themes. The students are also introduced to the subjects of weather, days of the week, months of the year, seasonal changes and numerical concepts. 

 

The children look forward to getting outside on our well equipped playground to, climb on the equipment, ride trikes, dig in the sand and garden, play with balls, and just run around and have fun.

 

The morning continues with a nutritious snack (crackers, yogurt, bagels...) served with fresh fruit or vegetables and a choice of milk or water. Snack is followed by a fun hands-on art activity or project related to our monthly thematic unit. We end our day with a twice weekly session of music (songs and movement) with a pianist and/or story time.

Full Day - 7:00 am - 6:00 pm                 Lunch Bunch - 12:00 pm - 1:00 pm
